Just saw the news on TV about the new land being formed in Hawaii by the volcano. God has promised us a new life, but it seems there is always some tie with the old life. No matter how we try, we are never able to completely sever ties with our old lives. Some part of us just keeps going and going and going.
I guess that's all right. There are parts of my life I would like to hang on to. But there are large parts of It I would want to cut loose. Forget. Trash. Scrap.
But all I can do is trust the forgiving nature of God. Hopefully God will not hold those parts against me when I pound on the doors.
